Jeanne Smith, RD, LDN, RYT
Jeanne has been a registered dietitian for 24 years with a career that has been quite varied and interesting. Her patient care focus has ranged from preemies in a neonatal ICU to senior care in an assisted living facility. Most recently, Jeanne has turned her attention to America’s obesity epidemic. She has attended intensive workshops in Raleigh and Chicago to receive level 1 and 2 certificates of training in adult weight management. Jeanne is also a volunteer for Kids Eat Right, which is a program that encourages parents and their children to choose healthy foods and a more active lifestyle.
Jeanne has been in love with yoga since she first began practicing in 2001. Thanks to encouragement from her very inspirational teacher, Silver Kim, she completed the 200-hour teacher training program through Kula Heart Yoga in 2010. The yoga community is like no other. It’s the support of her fellow yoga teachers and enthusiastic students that keep the energy and creativity high.
Of course, balancing yoga classes, nutrition counseling, and a home life would not be possible without the understanding of a loving husband. Thankfully, I have that in Craig. Together we juggle three active kids and a dog, while still trying to enjoy all the fun the Lehigh Valley has to offer!
